Famine Sculpture, Dublin

£110.00

Another linocut from my Dublin series, this work shows the Famine sculpture along the River Liffey.

I worked from a photo I took of the sculpture whilst spending time there. The result is a bold and graphic artwork, symbolizing the fair city in a unique way.

The famine memorial in Dublin is a poignant reminder of the Great Famine of Ireland during the 19th century, caused by potato crop failure. This sad time in Ireland’s history led to mass starvation.

This Dublin artwork would look great adorning any wall space.
