Pigeons
This is a linocut inspired by time spent in Mowbray Park, Sunderland, my home city. It’s always surrounded by pigeons, as is much of the city centre in general.
On many an occasion I have sat on a park bench there, taking a bag of seeds and fed these two-legged creatures!
The work is semi-abstract and is loosely based on photos I have took myself, capturing the varying postures of the bird.
