Roker lighthouse, Sunderland
Roker lighthouse is one of the lesser known tourist attractions in the north east of England. Situated at the end of Roker Pier on Sunderland seafront, a visit to the lighthouse makes for a great day out.
It is a popular spot for sea fishing, especially in the summer when the mackerel are plentiful. Indeed the image shows a few hopeful fishermen too.
